Edward E. Wing MD, FACOG

OBGYN Physician

Dr. Wing has been a Gynecologist/Obstetrician for over 21 years.  His career started in New York City where he practiced in a university hospital based large physician groups for over 14 years.  He has been an educator of Physician Assistant students, medical students and residents throughout his career. He moved to Suffolk in 2006 . He has been a part of the Medical Staff of Sentara Obici Hospital and has served as the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology/Pediatrics From 2009 to 2013. Dr. Wing is an advocate for quality in women’s healthcare.  He sees the need for patients to play the major role in their personal health.

They feel safe here. Our staff leads them through our system in a very caring way. Over and over that is what we hear from our patients. I am here to provide them with the resources to improve their health.”

Dr. Wing’s patients appreciate how he is able to communicate and explain the complexities of women’s health in easily understandable ways.  He uses a variety of tools (drawings, computer graphics, articles, websites, video and audio recordings) to give her resources to understand her problem.  This new found knowledge helps her to decrease worry and stress and give her a better state of mind to make decisions about her health. When combined with the quality treatment and care received from Dr. Wing, she can achieve her best and  most healthy life.
